A quelques jours de Noël, je fête ce week-end les 20 ans de mariage d’un couple d’amis, dont je suis marraine de l’un des trois garçons. Ma prière est une action de grâce pleine de reconnaissance pour cette famille dont je suis proche et à travers laquelle j’ai tant reçu de signes de Ta vie, Seigneur.
Ma prière est une demande aussi : Toi Seigneur, enfant de notre chair et Fils du Très Haut, du Miséricordieux, Toi qui viens dans notre nuit en promesse de paix et de lumière, bénis-les : elle catholique, lui musulman, tous deux croyants et pratiquants leur religion. Bénis leur recherche de vérité, de fidélité à ton Esprit, chacun dans leur langage, sans chercher à supprimer ce qui chez l’autre demeure intraduisible. Bénis tous ces couples avec lesquels ils cheminent au sein de leur association . Soutiens, Seigneur, les amoureux qui viennent les trouver pour demander conseil au moment de s’engager. Aide-les tous à tenir dans la fidélité à Ta Miséricorde universelle !
En ces temps où le Front National cherche à nouveau à attiser la haine contre l’Islam, en ces temps où, en Afrique de l’Ouest, des forces politiques tentent de dresser Chrétiens et Musulmans les uns contre les autres, ces couples sont signes que Tu es Dieu d’amour.
« Si dans l’intimité, les gens arrivent à se respecter, à vivre ensemble, à élever des enfants, disaient mes amis dans un entretien avec la revue Projet il y a cinq de cela (n°292, mai 2006), ce qui exige à la fois des convictions et des compromis, ils peuvent vivre ensemble dans la République. Dans un couple, on ne peut pas tricher longtemps. Après quinze ans de vie commune, nous relativisons l’importance des conflits par rapport à ce qu’on a construit. L’urgence pour la société française, c’est d’apprendre à vivre ensemble en paix. Aujourd’hui, la division se manifeste dans des formes de ghetto. Les gens sont repoussés vers leur communauté. Pour les couples mixtes, c’est intolérable. Notre forme de militance, c’est de témoigner que, dans notre pays, on peut vivre ensemble ».
Pour ce Noël, viens, Seigneur, dans les nuits de ce temps ! Nous t’attendons.

La vérité, il l’a cherchée vainement dans les mathématiques et les sciences humaines. Ses racines religieuses, son identité, il les a trouvées en fait à Paris. Faouzi skali est maître soufi. Il perpétue une très vieille tradition familiale marocaine, qu’il a découverte au bout de ses études. Docteur en anthropologie, ce père de famille est directeur du festival des musiques sacrées de Fès. Un lieu splendide de rencontre pour les musiciens de tous pays et de toutes religions. Ce festival de plus en plus couru est, pour Faouzi Skali, une façon de réaliser son enseignement soufi. Cette spiritualité au coeur de l’islam a la « religion » de l’écoute et de la tolérance, loin, très loin des clichés sur les musulmans et leurs intégrismes. Rencontre avec un homme de dialogue.
